Xerocampos is a coastal resort in Eastern Crete that has been part of the Municipality of Sitia since 2010, with a resident population of 54 people (source: Wikipedia.gr - Greek national census of 2011).

What else can one add about Xerocampos?
Only that is a quiet, clean, essential place, away from the chaos, without much social life and infrastructure of the organized tourist center (only three beaches are equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas for hire .... about 50 in all!).
Here, however, you will find something else, a sea among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean, nights full of stars and tranquility and the typical Cretan warm reception and hospitality deserving to be tried.
In a holiday of this kind nothing will bring you back to the stress and routine of the "city life" and so coming to Xerocampos for a week or longer will mean also for you to regenerate and recharge yourself with simplicity, enjoying this sun, this sea and of this simple but full of charm nature. |
