"Liten receptbok från det traditionella grekiska köket"

Baklavà

Ingredients

½ Kg of thin phyllo sheets

2 cups of roughly chopped walnuts

2 cups of roughly chopped nuts

2 teaspoon ground

cinnamon

1 teaspoon of ground cloves

1 cup of butter

for the syrup :

 

3 cups of sugar

 

2 cups of water

 

1/2 cup of honey

 

2 tablespoon lemon juice

 

vanilla aroma

Tillagning

 

Mix together the walnuts, the nuts, the cinnamon and the cloves.

 

Grease a baking pan and place 4 sheets of buttered phyllo, sprinkle over some of the mixture, cover with 2 sheets of buttered phyllo, and continue until the filling is finished, close with 4 sheets of buttered phyllo.

 

Cut the baklava in square and bake at medium temperature until golden and crisp.

 

In the meantime prepare the syrup boiling together the ingredients for about 05/10 minutes and pour it over the sweet still hot.

 

Leave it to cool before serving, it is very good served with ice cream.
