The beautiful fortress of Frangokastello.
According to legend, in the dawns of spring here still wander around and within its walls the "Drosoulites", i.e. the shadows of 350 Greek fighters disappeared in 1828 along with their heroic leader Hatzimichàlis Daliànis after a week of siege against 8.000 soldiers and 300 horsemen Turks, sent against them by the oppressor Mustafà Naili Pashà governor of the region. |
