a practically desert beautiful beach even  in the most crowded season!
The shortest way to reach Vai from Xerocambos (about one hour drive) is direction Zakros and then Palekastro.

Vai , one of the most particular and beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean Sea
and of the Island of Crete,

is located at the opening of a valley rich in palm trees that contributes to a real tropical atmosphere.

Unfortunately it has been discovered years ago by the mass tourism and here you will find large tool parking areas, lines of sun umbrellas (Rimini’s style), quite expensive prices and a fairly good crowd (reaching the top in the period 15 July – 15 September).
